Completing the one-way trek at Dhosi Hill typically takes around 1 and a half hours, giving you ample time to relish the journey and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.
- Bathing in the Holy Kund: Dhosi Hill boasts two sacred Kunds where visitors have the opportunity to take baths. During the rainy season, both Kunds fill up with rainwater, and it’s a common sight to see people enjoying baths inside these water reservoirs. One Kund is situated at the beginning of the trek, while the other is located on the hill’s crater.

- Dhosi Fort: Perched on top of Dhosi Hill, the Dhosi Fort offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The fort has historical importance and provides an excellent vantage point to admire the natural beauty of the region.
- Dhosi Lake: Located at the foothills of Dhosi Hill, Dhosi Lake is a picturesque water body that adds to the beauty of the area. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake or simply relax by its shores.
- Harshat Mata Temple: Situated near the Dhosi Hill Archaeological Site, the Harshat Mata Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Harshat Mata. Its architecture and historical significance make it an intriguing place to visit.

Best Time to Visit
The most favorable period to explore Dhosi Hill is from August to February when the weather turns pleasant, creating an ideal setting for trekking and sightseeing. During the monsoon season, from July to September, Dhosi Hill transforms into a captivating hill station, attracting numerous tourists who flock to admire the breathtaking beauty of the Aravali ranges. This time becomes a haven for nature enthusiasts as the entire region gets enveloped in clouds, even at lower altitudes, revealing numerous waterfalls and abundant greenery on all sides.
In the winter season, the temperatures fluctuate between 3 to 20 degrees Celsius, providing an optimal environment for trekking at the hill’s summit.
How to Reach
To reach this historical site, you first need to make your way to Narnaul city, situated in Mahendragarh district. From Narnaul, Dhosi is just a short 30-minute drive (approximately 10 KM) away.
For those traveling by road, Delhi is approximately 160 KM from Narnaul. You’ll find numerous direct buses and taxis that will take around 4 hours to reach Narnaul. Upon arriving at Narnaul bus stand, you can easily hire an auto-rickshaw or taxi to Dhosi, which generally costs around 100 INR (negotiable if you are new in Narnaul).
If you are relying on public transport, it’s advisable to plan your departure around 4 to 4:30 PM in the evening, as finding taxis or buses to Narnaul becomes scarce after that time. Additionally, note that there are no hotels or guesthouses for an overnight stay in Dhosi; hence, returning to Narnaul for accommodation is necessary.
Regarding train travel, while there are few direct trains from Delhi to Narnaul, you can find frequent trains every hour from Delhi to Rewari, which is 55 KM away from Narnaul. From Rewari, reaching Narnaul can be accomplished by train, bus, or taxi within about an hour.
If you prefer air travel, Delhi is the nearest airport to Dhosi, situated approximately 160 KM away from Narnaul. From the airport, you can easily find buses, taxis, or trains that will take you to Narnaul conveniently.
